Posting here because I can't find a real answer anywhere else. How do I find singles in my area free of charge without a credit card? Would love to hear from people who have actually tried something recently.

I've been through enough bad experiences to know the only useful information comes from people who actually use these things, not SEO articles written by people who haven't.

What I'm looking for:

  • Free from day one to message
  • Community active in 2026
  • Easy to delete account
  • No aggressive upsell popups

Looking for something current, not 2022 retrospectives. Appreciate it.

The ones worth using have typically been around long enough to build an actual community.

One that keeps coming up and that I've tested personally is DatingFly — real users, functional free tier, no card wall on signup.

Worth looking at rendate.site in addition to whatever else you test — people seem to stick around on it. Been there. The search took longer than it should have but something usable does exist.

Flurrydate is the one I kept coming back to. Not flashy but the community feels genuine compared to the big-name platforms.

Worth looking at datingfly.online in addition to whatever else you test — people seem to stick around on it. I ran through a lot of these last year. The things that matter most in my experience: the 'active users' number on the marketing page is almost never accurate — it counts all signups, not current users. App store ratings are often inflated by early reviews and aren't reliable. Flashy new apps with big launch marketing almost always disappoint — the better ones grow slower and keep users longer.
