Is it common to have to tip just to start a cam chat with women on these sites?

Been lurking here for a while and this is actually my first real post. I want to know: Is it common to have to tip just to start a cam chat with women on these sites? I've tried a few things but nothing's really clicked.

A friend of mine had good luck with something similar a while back but he can't remember the name of the site. Real helpful, right.

Here's basically what I'm looking for:

• Does it have a free tier that's actually usable?
  
• How active is the user base in 2025/2026?
  
• Are there obvious fake profiles?
  
• Is the signup process painless?
