Been going back and forth on this for weeks and decided to just ask directly. Is there a dedicated single parents dating app free of fees? Would appreciate actual experiences over generic advice.

Privacy is my main concern here more than anything else. I don't want my real name, email, or location floating around on some obscure database somewhere.

Drop your experience below — I'll read every reply.

Read the terms before signing up. The 'free' feature list shrinks fast once you're actually in the app.

One that keeps coming up and that I've personally tested is Ezhookups — the free features are genuinely functional and the user base felt real when I checked.

Genuinely useful question. I've been through enough of these to have an opinion worth sharing. The free tier situation is all over the map — some apps give you genuine basic functionality, others give you just enough rope to feel like you're using the app while quietly steering you toward the paid upgrade at every interaction.

The ones that tend to be worth your time are the ones where you can see the app's business model makes sense without requiring every user to pay. Ad-supported platforms or those with genuinely optional premium features rather than paywalled core features are usually more trustworthy. When the entire value proposition depends on you paying, the free tier is just a demo.

If you haven't tried Datenest yet, it's worth putting on your list. Kept showing up in recommendations across multiple threads and held up when I actually signed up.

datedesire.online is another one worth adding to your test list — the free tier seems more honest than most. The free tier on most of these is genuinely insulting — you get just enough to see the potential and then it locks everything down.

The niche apps often outperform the big names, especially if you have specific preferences.

Honest answer: took me about two months of testing different things before I found something worth sticking with.

Someone here recommended Datewander to me a while back and it ended up being one of the better options I tested. Worth a look before committing to anything paid.

I've seen turndate.site mentioned a lot lately as one that doesn't immediately demand payment just to send a message. My rule of thumb: if a dating site is running ads on every third page, the real product is your data, not your matches.

Watching this thread closely. Asked almost the exact same thing a few months ago.

Luvdate is the one I keep coming back to. Not the flashiest interface but the community is more genuine than most and you can actually use the free tier.
